2010 Festival walks

We are offering two free guided walks (from our book "Walks Around Melbourne") over the first weekend of the Melbourne Festival.

Walk One - 11 September 2010 -  Leave Melbourne Leisure Centre (High St) at 14:00.

Melbourne to Breedon and back. About five miles. Mainly easy but short climb up to Breedon Priory Church. About 2 and half hours. Break at Church.

Walk Two - 12 September 2010 - Leave Leisure Centre at 11:00.

Melbourne to Calke and Staunton Harold and back. Mainly easy but a long walk. Stop at Staunton Harold Ferrers Centre for optional refreshments. About 9 miles 4/5 hours walking.

Please bring water and wear suitable footwear. Sorry but neither walks are pram/buggy friendly.
